Hello! I’m Luke, and I have just started my first full week as a Digital Marketing Intern at Zync Digital. It has already been an enjoyable experience meeting the team and learning about the meaningful work they do. I am excited to dive into some client-facing projects and contribute to the impact Zync makes on London’s communities.

I am currently in my third year of undergraduate studies at the University of Denver, though I am studying abroad at the University of Westminster for the fall term. I am pursuing a double major in Marketing and Business Information & Analytics (a bit of a mouthful, but I really enjoy it), and I have a Leadership Studies minor as well. My degree allows me to study a variety of areas, both in traditional business administration and in liberal arts subjects, which I believe helps me bring a dynamic perspective to marketing.

Professionally, I started out as a Marketing Intern for No Film School, where I put out social content and assessed podcast engagement. I then pivoted to a more data-driven role as a Junior Analyst for the University of Denver’s Advancement Department, supporting the Business Intelligence team in their philanthropic efforts for the university’s Denver Difference Campaign. These roles thus far have cemented my interest in pursuing a career that combines mission-driven marketing with data, strategy, and storytelling.

Marketing has always piqued my interest outside of my studies and formal roles; I have always had a “marketing lens.” I ran a successful e-commerce shop on Depop for over a year, learning how to tailor my clothing listings to different aesthetics and target audiences. I also worked at Starbucks for a couple of years, where I came to appreciate the art of personalizing customer experiences. Whether it was making first-time visitors feel welcome or understanding what kept my regulars coming back, I saw how small decisions could build genuine loyalty. These experiences have taught me that marketing is not just about products, but it is about building rapport and impact from the ground up.

I am thrilled to be able to continue building my marketing skills here at Zync. The agency’s focus on supporting social enterprises and credit unions really resonates with me, as I believe marketing is most powerful when it strengthens communities and drives change for the better. I am looking forward to learning from the team and to the months ahead!
