With the curtains drawn on a challenging year, we’re looking forward to getting stuck into 2021. Looking ahead to the year to come, we want to take the opportunity to introduce ourselves on a deeper level; so here are 10 questions (and answers) for you to get to know us a little bit more. 2 - What motivates you to work for Zync Digital?
Tobias Green - Digital Marketing is the present and future of everything. The opportunity to work with a plethora of diverse clients and build and run a wide range of marketing campaigns is a priceless opportunity.
Ben Mulchinock - Learning new skills everyday, working with a fantastic team and clients and building the business to the sky
Anthony Bennett - Making a difference in sectors that do so much good for so many people is what motivates me. Digital marketing possesses so much potential, and we exist to enable ethically-minded organisations to take advantage of it
3 - What does social enterprise mean to you?
Tobias Green - The single most important movement to make the world a better place.
Ben Mulchinock - Ethical practices and a well run model from top to bottom
Anthony Bennett - Businesses that exist for the benefit of people, not for profit
4 - What was your highlight of last year?
Tobias Green - Starting at Zync Digital of course 👀
Ben Mulchinock - The brief moment that pubs were open
Anthony Bennett - Our One Minute Briefs campaign, created in partnership with South Manchester Credit Union, was a personal highlight. We were proud to be involved in a campaign that challenged a creative community to promote the benefits of joining a credit union. Check out our highlights here
5 - What’s one thing you think is going to be important in digital marketing in 2021?
Tobias Green - TikTok
Ben Mulchinock - The different ways of consuming media that are fast emerging (TikTok, reels, stories, streaming)
Anthony Bennett - If last year taught us anything, it’s that nothing should be taken for granted. As businesses have been forced to adopt digital working in place of face to face/office working, expect digital communications to grow in importance in 2021
6 - Teach us something interesting in 3 sentences or less
Tobias Green - Average Internet users spend at least 33% of their time on social media
Ben Mulchinock - When the year ends in 1, it’s lucky for Tottenham 😉
Anthony Bennett - The average consumer attention span is 8 seconds long. Make sure your content is interesting enough to stop your audience’s thumb from scrolling along.
7 - If you had to describe 2020 using a song title, which would you choose?
Tobias Green - Dazed and Confused - Led Zep
Ben Mulchinock - Locked up by Akon
Anthony Bennett - ‘Zoom’, Fat Larry’s Band
8 - Now describe 2021 using a TV show or movies title
Tobias Green - A New Hope
Ben Mulchinock - The Purge / Revenge of the Sith
Anthony Bennett - 2020 was a bit like Jim Carrey in ‘The Truman Show’ at times, so I’ll stick with another Carrey film for 2021 - and will go for ‘Yes Man’, - I’m hoping to say yes to more things this year!
9 - You’ve been given an elephant. You can’t give it away or sell it. What would you do with the elephant?
Tobias Green - Stay in doors with it, as the Lockdown commands.
Ben Mulchinock - Ride it like a big horse and become the Elephant king.
Anthony Bennett - Elephants are supposed to have a brilliant memory, so I’d make sure he reminds me to switch off from work more often.
10 - Finally, if you could live life in a famous person’s shoes, who would it be and why?
Tobias Green - Jay Wellingdon Couch, inventor of the couch, where I currently spend the majority of my time. Of course, sofas have really been around since the early civilisations of Egypt and Mesopotamia (around 3000BC) but it’s rather hard to find a name for the original inventor…
Ben Mulchinock - Chris Evans because we’re both incredibly handsome
Anthony Bennett - It has to be Jurgen Klopp. As a Liverpool fan, this is the easiest question in the world. A man who I admire for his passion, personality, politics and plenty more.
